Mid-Stay Freshening: Our home is pre-stocked with essential supplies to get you started. Should you require additional supplies, we offer a mid-stay freshening for $150. The mid-stay freshening includes replenishing the basics, making the beds, and tidying the kitchen.

Time is your most valuable asset, so leave the planning to us! For your convenience, we offer a full-service Concierge team available to you throughout your stay. Our team would happily arrange private Chef services, massages, grocery services, island excursions, and more. Please inquire for a complete list of offerings.

For the safety of our guests and home, outside vendors WITHOUT prior permission from Hawaii Luxe Travel, are not permitted on property at any time. Private information such as house codes and addresses should not be given out for any reason. In the event you wish to book Chefs, Fitness Instructors, Grocery Shopping Delivery Services etc., outside of Hawaii Luxe Travel Concierge Services, you must let us know in advance.

Rental Car Services:

Booking your rental car has never been easier! We now offer a five-passenger 2018 BMW X1 (pending availability). We will have it parked at the airport for you upon arrival for your convenience. Please inquire about pricing.

Tucked amid the upland farms on the slopes of dormant Hualalai Volcano between Kailua-Kona and Keauhou, Holualoa has also become art central for the Kona and the Kohala Coast resort areas. A Brief History of Holualoa
The origins of Holualoa as an established center begins with the fertile soil and high amounts of rainfall that made agriculture a valuable industry in the area. Coffee, something that Holualoa is well-known for, was first planted in 1828 and remained one of the town’s industries. Beyond coffee, fields of sugar cane were also planted in Holualoa. Many historic buildings from this point in time still exist today as monuments, with interpretive signs to help you learn more about the town’s rich history.

The town of Holualoa is often referred to as an artist’s enclave, which means that there is no shortage of art and culture to experience in this small yet mighty town.

Holualoa is also a vibrant town with constant celebrations and lively community events for whatever occasion you can imagine. One event that showcases Holualoa’s culture is the First Friday After Dark, which includes art, music, food, and cultural activities to celebrate on a regular basis. This occurs on the first Friday evening of every month. And of course, the town’s emphasis on coffee can’t be ignored; the Coffee and Art Stroll is the town’s annual celebration of Kona coffee and local art in the fall. The galleries along Mamalahoa Highway, which is the main road through town, contains some fine art, including handmade woodwork and jewelry, sculptures and posters. Standouts include Dovetail Gallery, Studio 7 Fine Arts, and Glyph Art Gallery. The famous and unique Holualoa Ukulele Gallery has some stunning examples of Hawaii’s four-stringed instrument which is created by great ukulele makers. The visitors can play a few bars, chat with the owner and maybe even participate in a ukulele – building workshop.

Beyond the town center are many small farms, nestled on the slopes of Mount Hualalai. Many of these small farms would be happy to have you and your family along for a tour to explore the process of farming on the Big Island or how coffee is farmed and roasted, a real farm-to-cup experience!

Holualoa’s climate is generally thought to be quite comfortable and slightly lower than average in terms of precipitation and the most pleasant in terms of heat and humidity from February to March. The area is hottest July through October.

Fun fact: Holualoa got its name from the ancient Hawaiian practice of sledding the long (loa) mountain slopes with wooden sleds (holua).

The fully stocked professional-style kitchen features unique granite counters, African mahogany kitchen cabinets, and high-end appliances, including a WOLF range and wine fridge. The dining table seats 12, with four additional stools at the kitchen bar. The dining room is situated on the covered lanai by the pool for optimal sunset views while dining.


Sleep soundly for each room has its Tempurpedic bed, luxury sateen sheets, and Canadian goose down as well as Tempurpedic pillows.

The Layout:

The main house has two buildings: the main house and the Ohana. The main house comprises two king-size bedrooms and the main suite. The Garden suite is open to the entry garden with a private entrance and full bath. The Surf Room is just off the main living room with a full bath and an exit to the outdoor shower.

The Ohana is connected by a breezeway to the primary residence and leads up the stairs to a large second master with a king-size bed, dual vanity bathroom, and lanai that overlooks the ocean. Below the Ohana is a new flex space that includes a large 70” flat screen, a pull-out sofa, an office area, a large fridge, and a small gym with AC!.

If you follow the driveway down, you will find our two-bedroom cottage.

Coffee Cottage:

The Coffee Cottage comes with a stocked kitchen, stainless steel appliances, beach chairs, towels, snorkel gear, boogie boards, beach cooler, hand carved ukulele, games, and everything you'll need to enjoy your stay in Hawaii. The living room boasts a 60" flat screen, full access cable, high-speed internet, Netflix, and Sonos. Each bedroom has a brand new AC unit (rare in Hawaii)! Out front is a private hot tub, infrared gas grill, and fire pit so you can relax and enjoy the views and sunsets over acres of Kona coffee and macadamia nut farms. If there is anything you'd like to have while you're here, don't hesitate to request it in advance! We will be as accommodating as possible.
